On January 24, 2019, Sherman Industries presented its relocation plan to Birmingham, Alabama Mayor Randall Woodfin’s Department of Planning, Engineering, and Permits (PEP). Woodfin, who is a first term mayor, blessed the plan without doing his homework on Sherman Industries and its global parent company, the HeidelbergCement Group.
