Jefferson County, Alabama Danny Carr’s VIP treatment of accused strangler/wife-beater Christopher Drummond has drawn surging public interest. In September, alone, four of the top six feature articles on my Facebook page related to Christopher Drummond’s wife-beating case.

Top content on Donald V. Watkins Facebook page for September 2026.

These four articles produced 130,689 total views between September 5 and 28, 2026. This number is up from 15,026 total views for the first two related articles published in July.

Days of after Christopher Drummond completed a 45-day sentence in a Monaco prison cell on a charge of intentional violence against his wife Alexis Drummond, he was arrested again on July 20, 2026, in Jefferson County on charges of strangling and beating Alexis.

From the moment Danny Carr received the case from police departments in Birmingham and Mountain Brook, Alabama, his office began to treat Drummond like a VIP guest, rather than an accused criminal with a documented history of physical violence against his wife.

Drummond breezed in and out of the county jail in 3 hours, even though he had was fresh out of a prison in Monaco. Carr made no effort to detain Drummond pending his trial.

In Alabama, the Drummonds Seem to Operate Above the Law

In what appears to be substantial departures from standard prosecutorial practices in violent domestic abuse cases, Danny Carr’s prosecution team seems to be bending over backwards to make sure Christopher Drummond faces no prison time, if he is convicted of domestic abuse, again.

What is shocking to many court observers is this well-documented fact: Christopher Drummond comes from a family whose company executives have long been associated with bribing judges and elected officials in Alabama whenever they were caught and/or charged with engaging in illegal conduct. Christopher Drummond, himself, bragged on videotape that he “owns” every judge in Alabama.

What is more, Christopher Drummond’s family has owned the ABC Coke Company since 1977. Along with four other heavy industrial polluters, ABC Coke poisoned the air and ground in three North Birmingham communities and the city of Tarrant, Alabama. Their extremely toxic environmental poisons condemned about 4,000 Jefferson County residents to a long, slow, and painful death. An estimated 92% of these homicide victims were black. The polluters are all white. Combined, the polluters caused more deaths than the 9/11 terrorists.

North Birmingham residents are still dying from these industrial poisons and there is no statute of limitations for murder. The killers can be charged with murder in state AND federal court.

Donald Trump's Department of Justice has NOT charged any industrial polluter with the murder of these 4,000 local residents.

Likewise, Danny Carr, who has been the local DA since 2017, has NOT charged a single Drummond Company executive, or a single ABC Coke executive, or a single Drummond family member with “murder by poisoning” for any one of the 4,000 intentional deaths that occurred in North Birmingham and Tarrant.

Epilogue

When a Drummond family member finally landed in Danny Carr’s lap in July on domestic violence charges, Carr engaged in unusually soft and weak prosecutorial actions in the case. His softness has raised red flags all over the place.

Is Danny Carr compromised in this case? Does Christopher Drummond “own” Danny Carr, too? Why is Christopher Drummond, a criminal defendant with a violent domestic abuse in his background, receiving special VIP treatment from Danny Carr? Why has Carr failed to prosecute a single polluter for the mass killing of 4,000 Jefferson County residents by five known heavy industrial polluters, including ABC Coke?

There is far more “insider” information about Christopher Drummond’s case than I have published today. There are many eyes watching this case.

Law enforcement officials in Monaco convicted and imprisoned Christopher Drummond for spousal abuse. Danny Carr does not appear to be headed in that direction. Carr's prosecution team is coddling Christopher Drummond. Why?
