An Editorial Opinion
Senator Chuck Schumer and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, both of whom are New Yorkers, played no significant role in the Democrats taking control of the Senate and House. It was the voters who stood up to Donald Trump’s assault on democracy, not Schumer and Jeffries. Voters delivered the tough rebuke of Trump and the rejection of his regressive policies. Schumer and Jeffries repeatedly capitulated to Trump and called it "playing politics."
What is more, the Democratic Party needs a leadership team in Congress that recognizes Israel’s betrayal of America. This team must also work to get Israeli money out of American politics. Schumer and Jeffries cannot do this because they are owned by AIPAC.

Every insider in Washington knows Hakeem Jeffries is controlled by Jared Kushner. Schumer is controlled by AIPAC.
Congressional leadership is not a mantle that is passed down to heirs-in-waiting. It must be earned. These men failed to earn it.
It’s time for a change. Schumer and Jeffries DO NOT embody the leadership qualities that are needed to seize the moment. They are too weak and compromised to get America back on track.
The voters who liberated us from the death grip of MAGA zealots In Congress will bolt back to the Republican Party in 2028 if Democrats select Schumer and Jeffries to lead them. They know it and we know it. Both men need to step aside for the good of the country.
