Donald V. Watkins expresses a personal "thank you" to Rev. Jesse Jackson for all that he did for African Americans, women, Whites of interracial goodwill, and Watkins during his decades-long leadership tenure in the civil, economic, and political rights movements.

Black mayors in America should stop being weak-kneed punks.  They should honor civil rights icon Jesse Jackson, who passed on February 17, 2026, by lowering the U.S. flag on city property to half-mast until Jackson is buried. They have the power to do so. Use it.
